In 2022, TARGOBANK achieved a profit before taxes of EUR 531 million, an increase of 4 percent (previous year: EUR 513 million). The result also marks TARGOBANK’s highest to date under IFRS. The net banking result even rose by 7 percent to EUR 1.74 billion (2021: EUR 1.63 billion). At the same time, total assets increased by 13 percent to EUR 35 billion (2021: EUR 31 billion). In addition to growth in operating business, the integration of Banque Européenne du Crédit Mutuel (BECM) Germany as TARGOBANK Corporate & Institutional Banking (TARGOBANK CIB for short) with offers for upper mid-sized companies, the strategic development of the offer and a significantly lower cost-income ratio contributed to the improved result.
